RS Components offers customers secure and reliable e-payment option

Philippine customers keep business operations running smoothly through the robust e-commerce platform and digital payment system

Makati City, Philippines, 11 September 2020:

To protect the health of customers and employees, while enabling businesses to continue operating safely and smoothly during the quarantine period, RS Components introduced a secure e-payment option for Philippine customers and ensured safe and efficient transactions through its e-commerce platform.

According to George Santiago, Philippines General Manager, RS Components, the pandemic transformed the way companies do business and how customers use digital solutions and channels to ensure business continuity.

“Keeping our customers and our people safe is very important to us. At the same time, we saw the need to shift our ways of working to ensure we can continue to supply much-needed parts and equipment to customers while observing the health and distancing measures in place,” he said.

Since the community quarantine was announced in Metro Manila and in provinces, industrial and manufacturing customers continued to have access to critical parts and protective equipment needed to keep their business running through the RS Components website.

Customers are also encouraged to facilitate payment transactions through PESONet, a same-day e-payment service offered by 60 participating banks and electronic money issuers in the Philippines. The use of e-payment channels such as PESONet is encouraged by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to minimise face-to-face transactions and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

E-payment services like PESONet also provide customers convenience and greater transparency for their transactions, helping them maintain visibility of their payments and avoid delays in their procurement process.

“Delays could lead to lost time and costs for business. Having quick and reliable access to critical tools and parts means that manufacturing plants can stay on schedule, avoid idle time, and maintain productivity levels,” added George Santiago. “We remain connected to our customers and offer them flexible and secure means to interact with us online, so they can focus on their day-to-day business priorities and leave the product sourcing and delivery to us.”
