3M Adhesive-Backed/PSA Sanding Disc, 203mm Disc Diameter, 320 Grit size - 7100287536

This adhesive-backed/PSA sanding disc is a net-backed abrasive designed for general sanding, stock removal, scuffing and surface preparation across a range of substrates. It combines a blend of aluminium oxide and a proprietary precision-shaped ceramic mineral to deliver consistent cutting and finishing performance when paired with a suitable Hookit™ backing pad and vacuum-assisted extraction.

Features & Benefits

• Precision-shaped ceramic grain delivers Faster cut rates
• Net backing enables effective dust extraction during sanding
• Patterned resin coating reduces loading for prolonged use
• Hookit™ loop integration allows Rapid tool-free disc changes
• Suitable for a wide range of substrates including paints and composites

Applications

• Suitable for automotive sanding on primers and paintwork
• Ideal for composite surface preparation in manufacturing
• Can be used for preparing filler and putty prior to finishing
• Used with vacuum systems for dust-controlled workshop operations

What abrasive mineral mix does it use?

It uses a blend of aluminium oxide and a proprietary precision-shaped ceramic grain for a balance of stock removal and finish.

How does the net backing affect dust control?

The open net structure permits vacuum extraction through the disc when used with a compatible support pad and dust collection system.

Which attachment method is required for mounting?

Loops are integrated into the net backing to mate with a Hookit™ hook-and-loop support pad for secure attachment and quick swaps.

How should the product be stored to preserve performance?

Store in the original packaging at about 16 to 26°C and 35 to 50% relative humidity, using a first-in, first-out system to avoid shortened shelf life.

For which rotational speeds is it engineered?

Maximum orbital speeds vary by disc size

the 203mm disc is rated for up to 6000 opm when used within its intended operating parameters.
