BPW83 Series PIN Photodiodes


The BPW83 series, from Vishay Semiconductors, are a family of PIN photodiodes. They are in a side-looking black plastic package with a daylight filter which blocks out any ambient visible light. Suitable applications for the BPW83 photodiodes include; high speed IR detectors, free Air data transmission systems and IR remote control.
