ABB CA6 Series Auxiliary Contact, 6A Contact Current, 250V DC Contact Voltage - GJL1201319R0003

This auxiliary contact serves as an add-on signalling device for mini contactors, providing supplementary switching for control circuits in industrial electrical installations. Fitted to the side of a contactor, it enables separation of control and power functions and is suitable for use in environments requiring compact, surface-mounted auxiliary contacts with solder pin connections.

Features & Benefits

• 1NO1NC arrangement permits simultaneous make and break signalling
• 6A contact capacity supports common control circuit loads
• Rated for 250VDC and 690VAC for versatile voltage handling
• 4A operational current for defined switching performance
• 690V insulation rating ensures withstand for industrial systems
• Solder pin terminals allow secure PCB or wiring-board mounting

**Applications**

• Suitable for retrofitting signalling on mini contactors in motor control panels
• Used with control circuitry requiring both normally open and normally closed feedback
• Ideal for assembly in switchgear where surface-mounted auxiliary contacts are needed
• Can be used for status feedback to PLCs and safety monitoring systems

What environmental range can it tolerate in service?

It operates across -25 to +55°C ambient, with storage tolerance to -40 to +80°C and altitude suitability up to 2000 m.

How is mechanical attachment and protection handled?

It mounts on the contactor side and provides IP20 degree of protection for internal terminals.

What standards does it comply with for industrial use?

It meets IEC/EN 60947-1, IEC/EN 60947-4-1, IEC/EN 60947-5-1 and corresponding UL variants for switchgear components.

What are its shock and vibration tolerances?

It withstands 11 MS pulses at 15 g and vibration levels of 5 g across 5 to 150 Hz per IEC tests.

How is it packaged and supplied for installation?

It is sold in single units and is also available in ten-piece packs for bulk installation.
