It's a Type 2 SPD (surge protection device), which means it prevents damage caused by indirect lightning strikes or switching operations. The component is suitable for a 3-conductor power supply system (L1, N, PE, or live, neutral and protective earth), so it's suitable for sub-distribution panels or machine-control cabinets.
This surge protector can be mounted onto any standard DIN rail, which makes installation simple. Its slots are mechanically coded, so you don't have to worry about errors while replacing the slots. The connector lets you disconnect devices on each plug, meaning less downtime in case of a replacement.
This unit is rated IP20 when all terminal points are used, which means it's touch-proof and dust-resistant. It's been rigorously tested by engineers, so you can be assured of its safety.
