Eaton Resettable Fuse, 50A Current Rating, 6V Voltage - PTSLR18126V260

This resettable fuse is a polymer-based protective device designed to limit excessive current in low-voltage systems. It operates as an automatic overcurrent protector, reverting to normal conductivity after fault removal and cooling. The component is supplied on a reel for convenient assembly into surface-mount production lines and is intended for use where repeated trip/reset cycles and Compact integration are required.

Features and Benefits:

• 50A rating allows handling of high transient currents • 2.6A hold current prevents nuisance trips during normal loads • 6A trip current initiates protection within 2s for prompt response • 0.02Ω maximum resistance minimises voltage drop under load • 1W power dissipation controls thermal stress during fault conditions • -40°C to 85°C operating range supports extreme environment use

Applications

• Suitable for automotive accessory power circuits requiring resettable protection • Ideal for industrial control modules with recurring inrush currents • Used with battery management and charging systems to prevent overloads • Can be used for consumer electronics where Compact resettable protection is needed

What mounting method is intended for assembly lines?

It is provided in a reel package for automated placement of surface-mount components.

How does the device behave during a sustained overcurrent?

When current exceeds the trip threshold it increases resistance, reducing current flow until the fault clears and temperature falls.

What approvals permit use in regulated installations?

It carries cURus, UL and RoHS approvals allowing conformity with common safety and material directives.

How thin is the component for tight-profile designs?

The component has a 0.4mm height suitable for low-profile board layouts.

What are the electrical extremes of resistance one can expect?

Minimum measured resistance is around 3mΩ while maximum is specified as 0.02Ω.
