RS PRO 30 kW Star Delta Starter, 400 V ac, 3 Phase, IP65
Start motors at a lower voltage with this 30 kW three-phase star delta starter. A star-delta starter consists of three efficient contacts, along with a timer and a thermal overload to prevent it overheating. It operates at temperatures ranging from -25°C to +60°C and is found in manufacturing environments.
You may want to fit your starter motor with an overload to protect against electrical surges, but this one is supplied without. You can choose a compatible overload from the RF38 series (for example stock no. 685-1309) to match the full-load current of your motor.
The star-delta starter is a great choice to consider when you're using a motor intermittently or with frequent starts and stops. It has a moulded plastic case and an IP65 rating, which assures protection against dust and high-pressure water jets from any direction. Star delta motor starters control winding currents only. It conforms to IEC 60947-1 (low-voltage equipment safety) and IEC 60947-4-1 (protection from short-circuits) standards.
