RS PRO Feeler Gauge, 20 Blades
Use this RS PRO feeler gauge set to measure the gap between two objects in very close proximity to each other. It's designed for spaces that are too small for a normal measuring tape. It's frequently used in engineering to determine the clearance between machine parts.
The feelers are made from strong brass for improved measuring accuracy. They're also corrosion-resistant so won't rust if the tools are exposed to moisture. This set is supplied in a vinyl case for protection and safe storage when it's not in use. The case also makes it easy to pop the set into your toolbox.
A feeler gauge unit such as this one is also handy for home mechanics, for example for measuring odd-sized gaps in car engines. It consists of 20 separate blades of different thicknesses, which will allow you to measure gaps ranging from 0.001 mm to 0.762 mm wide.
