Fluke FEV300 Series EV Charger Test Adapter, Type 1 & 2 Connector Type, 1kg Weight - FLK-FEV300/BASIC

This EV charger test adaptor is a portable tool that simulates an electric vehicle to initiate and evaluate AC charging cycles for mode-3 charging stations. It connects to Type 1 and Type 2 charging interfaces and provides measured outputs and signal connections so technicians can verify functionality and safety of EV charging equipment in accordance with relevant charging protocols.

Features & Benefits

• Simulates vehicle charging states to validate station behaviour
• Provides CP signal output of approximately ±12V for protocol checks
• PE pre-test detects greater than 50V AC/DC between PE and touch sensor
• Supports single-phase up to 250V and three-phase up to 480V systems
• Measuring terminals supply L1, L2, L3, N, PE up to 10 A for safety tests
• IP54-rated housing resists dust and splashing water

**Applications**

• Suitable for commissioning Type 2 socket-outlet charging stations
• Ideal for servicing installations with Type 1 fixed-cable connectors
• Used for functional verification with oscilloscopes and multimeters
• Can be used for safety testing alongside installation testers
• Suitable for troubleshooting EVSE charge-communication faults

How does it indicate presence of phase voltage at the output?

Three separate LEDs show each phase independently to verify voltage presence at the charging outputs.

What error conditions can it emulate for diagnostic work?

It can force a CP error by shorting CP to PE and simulate an earth fault by interrupting the PE conductor.

What signal levels correspond to vehicle readiness states?

CP voltages include +12 V, +9 V, +6V and +3V with PWM variations around these levels to represent different vehicle states.

Which test instruments can directly connect to the measuring terminals?

Installation testers, clamp meters, multimeters and handheld oscilloscopes can be connected to the L1, L2, L3, N and PE terminals for measurements.

What environmental and electrical limits apply during operation?

Operates between -20 °C and 40 °C, up to 2,000m altitude, 10%–85% relative humidity non‑condensing, and maximum internal consumption of 3 W.
