Fluke Earth Tester Kit, ±5 % rdg Accuracy, Battery Life 6000h - FLUKE-1625-2 KIT

This earth tester kit is a battery‑powered instrument for measuring earth resistance and soil resistivity in outdoor and indoor environments. It supports multiple test methods including fall‑of‑potential, selective clamp testing and stakeless clamp‑based loop measurements, and stores test records for later transfer via USB.

Features & Benefits

• ±5% accuracy Plus 5 digits for precise readings
• AFC and R* modes reduce interference and reflect 55Hz impedance
• Internal memory holds up to 1500 records for data logging
• Stakeless measurement with two clamps avoids stake placement
• IP56 protection permits use in wet and dusty conditions
• Battery operation delivers up to 6000 h life with AA cells

Applications

• Suitable for field service fault‑to‑earth verification in power systems
• Ideal for industrial maintenance earth resistance surveys
• Used for soil earth resistance measurement in telecom sites
• Can be used for selective rod testing without disconnection
• Used with clamps for loop resistance checks inside substations

How is data transferred from the instrument for reporting?

Stored records are exported through a USB port for PC download and analysis.

What safety and electrical limits should I observe during testing?

Measurement is inhibited if external voltages exceed 24V and the instrument withstands misuse up to 250 Vrms between sockets.

Which battery configuration is required and what is typical lifespan?

Six AA alkaline cells power the unit with typical measurement counts up to 6000 h depending on load conditions.

How does the instrument handle noisy environments or mains interference?

Noise rejection is specified up to 120 dB and automatic frequency selection identifies interference and selects a measurement frequency.

Are there restrictions on clamp use for stakeless testing?

Stakeless loop measurement requires the recommended current clamps and adherence to minimum spacing for valid results.

Supplied with

6 x AA LR6 batteries, 6 x test leads, 4 x earth ground stakes, 3 x cable reels with wire (2 x 25 m, 1 x 50 m), 2 x clamps (one inducing, one sensing), users manual, carrying case.
