RS PRO Spring Balance, 50 g Resolution, Metric Scale, 1 kg, 10 N Weight Capacity
This spring balance from the trusted RS PRO range will help you measure the weight and force exerted on an object.
The device consists of a clear cylindrical tube with a spring inside. Attach the top to an adjuster to calibrate the device, then connect the bottom to a hook on which objects can be placed. As objects are added, the spring stretches and the force exerted is displayed on the device's scale.
Polycarbonate bodies and stainless-steel springs and hooks make these balances extremely hardwearing and resistant to many common chemicals, as well as to impact.
Each measuring range has a different colour code for ease of identification. To avoid overstretching the internal spring, you should choose a model to suit your weighing requirements. You'll find spring balances such as these most commonly used in laboratories.
