This 80w solar panel kit form Solar Technology is an ideal mains-free renewable power solution for use in a range of applications. The solar panel features bypass diodes to minimise the effect of shadows, allowing power to still be generated even in overcast conditions. Providing a continuous trickle feed, the solar panel helps maintain and extend the life of 12V batteries and delivers maximum power in the smallest module size saving weight and space. The durable panel features high efficiency monocrystalline cells suitable for charging in all weather conditions, housed in a robust corrosion resistant aluminium frame. In addition to the 80w solar panel, this versatile kit includes all necessary cable and connections for quick and easily installation in a range of settings.

    The 80w solar panel kit from Solar Technology is ideal for charging batteries and providing power to a range of appliances at home or on the move. This simple yet effective solar kit is perfect for boat trips, extended caravan touring and for permanent fittings. The kit can be used with automotive vehicles such as caravans, medium sized motorhomes and boats as well as TV, games machines, DVD players, sky boxes and more. If using a 240V appliance, an inverter must be used (sold separately).

    How does this solar kit work?


    This robust solar kit utilises sunlight to generate power capable of charging a 12V battery, which can be protected from overcharge using a charge controller (sold separately). The power generated can be used to power a wide range of 12V appliances directly, or through an inverter (sold separately) if using a 240V appliance. The system will work even in overcast weather conditions, both in summer and winter.

    Note

    To protect your battery from overcharge and prevent reverse current drain, an 8Ah charge controller (sold separately) should be used with this kit.

    Supplied with

    Cable (5m), connectors, detailed installation instructions and a free digital test meter to enable the user to analyse the performance of both solar panel and battery.
