The B&R Industrial Automation GmbH Bus controller supports CANopen fieldbus and features 8 digital channels configurable as inputs or outputs. It offers auto-configuration of I/O modules and convenient configuration with Automation Studio V4.3 and later. The controller maintains constant response times even with large data volumes supporting up to 32 Rx and 32 Tx PDOs and allows configurable I/O cycles from 0.5 to 4 ms. It connects up to 253 X2X Link I/O modules using CANopen protocol with support for all operating modes including synchronous event polling PDO linking life node guarding heartbeat and emergency objects. The system enables transition between IP20 and IP67 protection by directly connecting X20, X67 or XV modules up to 100 m apart across control cabinet boundaries.
