MTA-156 IDC closed end connector receptacle assemblies preloaded with IDC contacts on a 3.96mm centerline that accept stranded discrete wire sizes from 18 to 26 AWG. These MTA-156 IDC closed end connectors are end to end stackable, have white nylon 6/6 UL94V-2 housings with moulded ribs to prevent reverse mating and are available with locking ramps and polarization tabs. The IDC socket contacts of these MTA-156 IDC closed end receptacle connectors are matte tin plated with the exception of stock number 863-8369 which has 0.00038μm gold plated contacts.

These MTA-156 connectors are based on IDC (insulation displacement contact) technology allowing one-step assembly and eliminating the need for wire stripping saving both time and cost.
