RS PRO 10-Way IDC Connector Socket for Cable Mounting, 2-Row
Need a quick and easy method of terminating flat ribbon cables? This IDC (Insulation-Displacement Connector) from RS PRO slices through a cable's insulation and joins the wire to the connector without the need for soldering, saving you time and effort. It also saves space by allowing 10 different cables to be connected at once.
This IDC socket has grey glass-fibre reinforced PET (polyethylene terephthalate) housing that's durable and lightweight, offering protection without adding weight to your circuit. It's also an excellent electrical insulator, keeping you safe while the IDC is in use. The unit includes phosphor bronze contacts and terminations for a strong and reliable connection.
For ease of use, the connector socket is supplied part-assembled. The 2.54 mm universal ribbon cable sockets have an open design making them suitable for daisy-chaining, so you can add additional appliances to the circuit safely.
