Eaton Emergency Stop Button, M22 Series
Providing solutions for heavy-duty and industrial applications, Eaton's M22 range of emergency stop buttons have been designed to stop in the case of an emergency, through the use of a button. These can sometimes be referred to as controlled stop emergency buttons.

What is the difference between a push-button switch for an emergency stop and a general-purpose push button switch?
A general-purpose push button switch is used for controls, e.g. to start machine operation or simply to switch modes. An emergency stop push button switch, however, is mainly used as a safety measure to stop hazardous events.
Does this emergency stop push button come with a guard?
A guard/shroud is a common accessory for an emergency stop push button, which acts as an enclosure for the device. This is useful in harsh environments or in the food industry. The Eaton M22 shroud - 399-3135 also forms part of the M22 range and is for use with the RMQ Titan Series.
