What's the difference between a male and female crimp terminal?

A male crimp terminal works like a plug, while the female unit – like this one – is a socket that goes around a wire.

Pico-Lock Terminal Contact Series 503765

The Pico-Lock Crimp Terminal Contact is for use in Crimp Housings.

The mating area of the Pico-Lock Crimp Terminal Contact is Gold plated with the insulation and wire barrel areas being Tin plated.

28-30 AWG Wire with an Insulation Diameter of 0.5 - 0.7mm is required for this Pico-Lock Crimp Terminal Contact.

1.00mm Wire-to-Board - Molex Pico-Lock

The 1.00mm pitch Pico-Lock range of Wire-to-Board Connectors from Molex has a Low Profile on the board with a High Current capability and a durable Locking System. The positive Locking System of the 1.00mm pitch Pico-Lock range of Wire-to-Board Connectors is situated on the side of the connector crimp housings to maintain the Low Profile height. PCB retention and mechanical stability is provided by the wide fitting nails (solder tabs) of the 1.00mm pitch Pico-Lock range of Wire-to-Board Headers. The design of the 1.00mm pitch Pico-Lock range of Wire-to-Board Connectors includes Polarization and Mating Guide to prevent mismating on connection. Visual mating assurance plus additional retention is provided by the Top Friction Lock of the 1.00mm pitch Pico-Lock range of Wire-to-Board Connectors.
