Schneider Electric Shunt Trip, DIN Rail Mounting, 18mm Width - Acti 9 Series - A9A26476
Need a way to put the brakes on electrical surges? Add this shunt trip from Schneider Electric to your circuit breaker. It's an accessory that lets you manually pull the plug on your equipment in an emergency by flicking the front-facing toggle switch, helping to minimise the risk of electrical damage. Thanks to its wide control circuit voltage range between 100 and 415V AC or 110 and 130V DC, you can power the unit up with your mains supply or a transformer for versatile operation.
Features & Benefits
• Broad operating temperature range between -25°C and +50°C for use in demanding environments
• Clips into place on a DIN rail for simple, tool-free installation
Applications
• Control cabinets
• Industrial automation
• Manufacturing equipment
What circuit breakers does this trip work with?
For ease of assembly, this unit is compatible with circuit breakers in the Acti 9 series.
How does this device work?
When turned on, the internal mechanism is energised to open the NC circuit. This action breaks the electrical connection to shut down your system in a snap.
Schneider Electric | Acti 9 A9A Series | Auxiliary Contact
Are you looking to add an additional auxiliary contact to your control circuit, to provide further safety? Schneider Electric offers the latest in Auxiliary Contact components and technology.
Specifically, the Acti 9 series of Auxiliary Contactor brings reliability to your circuit by acting as a secondary switching device working in conjunction with other primary devices such as contactors, relays or circuit breakers.
The electrical auxiliaries are combined with iC60 circuit breakers, iID residual current circuit breakers, remote tripping switch disconnector iSW-NA , RCA remote controls and ARA automatic reclosers; they enable tripping or remote indication of their position (open/closed/tripped) upon a fault
Features and benefits:
• Low consumption on your control circuit.
• Compact, lightweight and easily attached to compatible contactors. Clip-on, DIN rail mountable (see datasheet for specifics).
• 18-month manufacturer warranty with Schneider Electric.
• Schneider Green Premium product - easily recyclable and disposed of. Built with sustainability in mind to have the least impact on the environment where possible. Toxic Heavy Metal-free. Mercury free.
Protection ratings & Safety features:
• IP20 conforming to EN/IEC 60947-5-1
Tripping auxiliaries:
iMN: undervoltage release
iMNs: delayed undervoltage release
iMNx: undervoltage release, independant from supply voltage
iMX: shunt release
iMX+OF: shunt release with open/close contact.
Indication auxiliaries:
iOF: open/close contact
iSD: fault indicating contact
iOF/SD+OF: open/close contact and switchable OF or SD contact.
Applications:
• Motor starters/Control systems.;• Switching contactors/relay coils.;• Control/Signalling equipment.
How do Auxiliary Contacts work?
An Auxiliary Contact is an electromechanical device that is mounted typically to contactors. They are physically connected to the contactor, with simultaneous activation and deactivation applying to both of the devices at the same time.
Aux Contacts can be installed onto contactors either by front mounting, or side mounting. This is usually clear in the shape and size of the product, but please check the compatibility of your devices. Aux Contacts are really useful devices to aid in keeping an eye on the contactor.
You can, for example, hook up a low voltage LED directly to the Aux Contactor without having to worry about the overall voltage of the contactor it is linked to (as long the Aux Contactor is electrically isolated from the contactor) you could use the LED to monitor the device i.e. indicate if the motor is off/on.
