The Kern check weight belongs to accessories of weighing scales. Weights have always been used to carry out weighing procedures. This original purpose has almost taken a back seat in modern weighing and calibration applications. Today, weights are used almost exclusively for adjusting and examination of electronic balances. The calibration weights are also used in digital weighing scales, industrial scale measurements, testing of weighing scales and testing of weights.
