ABB CAF6-02K Series Auxiliary Contact, 6A Contact Current, 250V Contact Voltage - GJL1201330R0009 CAF6-02K

This auxiliary contact provides front mounting for mini contactors and supplies additional switching points for control circuits in industrial systems. It is designed to be fitted on the front side of a contactor, adding two normally closed contacts to extend control and signalling capability within automation, electrical and mechanical installations.

Features & Benefits

• 2NC DPST configuration delivers separate normally closed switching
• 6A contact rating supports moderate control-circuit currents
• 690V rated insulation voltage allows high-voltage auxiliary circuits
• Screw Terminal connection enables secure conductor retention
• 4A operational current for compatible control loads
• Operation across -25°C to 55°C for varied industrial environments

Applications

• Suitable for augmenting mini contactor auxiliary functions
• Used for signalling and interlock circuits in automation panels
• Ideal for retrofitting into existing contactor assemblies
• Can be used with control systems requiring front-mount auxiliary blocks
• Used for replacement auxiliary contact modules in electrical cabinets

What conductor sizes can be terminated into the terminals?

Flexible conductors with ferrules and solid conductors up to 1.0–4.0 mm² can be connected, with ferruled cable capacity matching the Terminal design.

How should torque be applied to the Terminal screws?

Tighten Terminal screws to the specified 0.8–1.1 N·m range to ensure correct clamping without damaging conductors.

What protection class does the device offer against ingress?

The module has IP20 protection, providing Basic protection against solid objects while requiring enclosure mounting for additional ingress protection.

Can it be used in installations at altitude?

Yes, it is suitable for use up to 2000m above sea level where atmospheric conditions meet standard equipment assumptions.
