RS PRO 100 VA Enclosed Autotransformer, 220 V AC, 230 V AC, 240 V AC Primary, 115 V AC Secondary
This enclosed autotransformer from RS PRO provides an effective way to step down supply voltages. It has a primary voltage rating of 220 V AC, 230 V AC or 240 V AC and a secondary voltage rating of 115 V AC, so it can be used to run US equipment on higher European voltages.
The autotransformer's compact construction and four-hole fixings make it easy to mount in a range of locations. It's fully shrouded to reduce electrical interference and has a varnish-impregnated coil to improve its dielectric strength. The terminal blocks are fitted with protective covers and the unit is fully electrical and flash tested to ensure safe use at high voltages.
This autotransformer is useful for many applications, including starting induction motors and regulating the voltage of transmission lines. It does not provide isolation from the mains.
