RS PRO 100 μF Electrolytic Capacitor 400 V DC, Through Hole
This general-purpose capacitor from RS PRO is compact and has great electric field strength. Aluminium electrolytic capacitors like this one use electrolytes to create electrostatic fields and store electrical power.
The unit has a safety vent that, when the voltage exceeds the permitted value, releases the gas to prevent the capacitor from exploding. It's a radial component, which means it has both leads coming out of one of its sides. You mount it by running the leads through holes in your printed circuit board (PCB) board.
You can find electrolytic capacitors like this RS PRO piece used for decoupling electrical networks to suppress high-frequency noise in power supply signals, prevent voltage fluctuations and accumulate power in flash lamps.
