Need a reliably waterproof micro USB to micro USB connector? Manufactured from rugged thermoplastic with a black silicone gasket providing a tight panel seal, this coupler from the RS PRO range is effective at keeping out water and dust. It has an IP67 rating, which means it's waterproof at a depth of a metre for half an hour.
This connector is recommended for panels between 0.8 mm and 3.0 mm thick. Contacts are gold-plated to ensure quality data transmission. It's voltage-rated at 100 V, current-rated at 1 A and has an operating temperature range of -40˚C to +105˚C. Straight orientation makes for easy installation.
This connector has been tested against international standards to ensure it won't damage equipment via electrostatic discharge (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007). It's also compliant with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) standards. You'll find this kind of connector used in outdoor displays or in the marine and military sectors.
