RS PRO Type J Thermocouple 200 mm Length, 6 mm Diameter, -60°C to +350°C


Use this general-purpose Type J thermocouple from RS PRO to measure heat changes in reducing atmospheres. It consists of two contacts where one is a positive iron pin and the other is a negative Constantan (Copper-Nickel) pin. These convert heat changes to voltage for accurate temperature measurement. These wires are shielded by fibreglass material that not only protects you from electric shock but also prevents electromagnetic interference (EMI).
This thermocouple has an adjustable bayonet cap that ensures a constant contact pressure for the probe tip, so it can detect the slightest heat changes. It has a sensed temperature range between -60°C and +350°C that makes it suitable for use in harsh environments. It's commonly used in the plastics industry.
