When you need to protect sensitive semiconductor components from damage caused by short circuits, go for this F-speed fuse from Eaton. It's fast-acting and blows immediately in the event of a fault to protect components such as diodes, thyristors and SCRs. Compact dimensions of 55 (body length) x 29.5 (body height) x 17.5mm (diameter) minimise heat loss and reduce overall heat dissipation in your cabinet. Fuses of this kind are suitable for use in motor drives and process industries, as well as traction and power distribution applications.

Can I use this fuse to protect my components from overcurrents?


No. As an aR-type fuse, it provides protection from short circuits only, so can't be used to protect from overcurrents. To protect your components from both short circuits and overcurrents, use a gR, gS or gG-type fuse.
