Eaton British Standard Fuse, 4A, 550V AC NSD4

Use this British Standard fuse from Eaton in your general industrial applications. You can mount it onto components such as distribution panels and power feeder boards to stop power surges or faults from causing damage to downstream electrical devices. A tag on either end of the fuse allows for simple mounting and makes the component easy to replace if it blows. Immunity to ageing ensures the unit offers a long service life with minimal maintenance. Its decreased power loss improves its efficiency as very little energy is wasted.

• Needs minimal mounting space with compact dimensions of 58.5 (L) x 34.6 (H) x 13.8mm (D)

• Low temperature rise so suitable to mount in high density control panels without the risk of overheating

• High rupture capacity (HRC) to safely break both excessively high and low currents

Is this fuse compatible with AC or DC voltage?

This fuse is specifically designed for use with an alternating current circuit. It's more resistant to electric arcs when it blows and can also handle higher voltages.

Eaton Bussmann HRC Offset Tag Fuses - BS88 British Standard Fuses

Eaton Bussmann's offset tag fuses (or offset bolted tag fuses) are essentially a cylindrical fuse that is fitted with offset brackets, these brackets allow the fuse to be bolted onto a fuse holder. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage measure. Eaton Bussmann's fuses are commonly found within a multitude of industrial and switchgear applications, electrical equipment, wiring systems and circuit breakers. This fuse range is suitable for general purpose use.

Features & Benefits

• The low-temperature rise enables the fuse to be suitable for high-density mounting

• Fuse links, specifically designed for the protection of equipment

• Conforms to industry standards

• Low voltage fuse

• High rupture capacity (HRC)

• Suitable for three-phase applications

• Suitable for type 2 co-ordinated applications as defined in IEC 947-4

• Low power loss, typically 20% lower than the requirements of BS 88

Why use a slotted tag fuse?

A slotted tag fuse is distinguished by the metal slotted tags that extend off the ends of the fuse. This tag can either enable the fuse to have an offset tag or be centred to the fuse. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage protection measure within electrical circuits.
