3M Sorbent Spill Absorbent Sheet
The 3M™ Oil Sorbent Sheets is designed with quick and easy response in mind. Packaged in convenient dispenser boxes for ease of storage or mounting on a wall near where spills may occur. Effective in confined spaces for cleaning up small spills and wiping equipment. Being hydrophobic (repelling water), they are ideal for absorbing oil from areas where water may also be present..
Features and Benefits
• Control and clean-up of accidental oil and hydrocarbon spills in water and on the floor.
• These sheets consist of non-woven, synthetic fibres. Polypropylene for the T series and polypropylene and polyester for the HP series. This gives them their oleophilic and hydrophobic properties (floats on water and no seepage).
• Multi-purpose sheets for absorbing hydrocarbons from water or the floor, wiping rocks and boats contaminated with hydrocarbons and so on.
Application
This high capacity, low profile Sorbent pad, picks up petroleum based fluids, will not absorb water. For routine use, cleaning up small spills and wiping contaminated areas. Pads may also be used on a work surface in anticipation of a spill or as a wipe. 100 pads (19 inch X 17 inch) per bale, (37.5 gallons/bale).
