RS PRO Colour Coded Plastic Shim Kit of 8 Sheets

Adaptability to different environments makes Plastic Shim popular material used in engineering for shimming and insulation applications worldwide. No surprise as to why Shims are the first choice for a reliable and durable material, allowing you to control thickness spacing for your BIG and small project.

Today, we are proudly introducing our own branded RS PRO Colour Coded Plastic Shim Kit of 8 Sheets offering you different performance characteristics than metal, such as folding endurance, chemical resistance or tensile strength to break.

The Plastic Shim goes even beyond that, and thanks to the straightforward concept that different thickness indicates the other colour, you can eliminate the need to use a micrometre.

Features and Benefits

  • Our Plastic Shim provides excellent wear-resistant

  • The plastic matte shows high strength to weight ratio and you can consider as an alternative to metallic shimming materials

  • Simple, but the effective colour-coded design of Shims is perfect for die-cutting projects

  • Corrosion Resistance

  • Low co-efficient of friction

  • Resists oil and characterising of minimal compression during the use

  • The Plastic Shim is non-conductive to electricity

  • Outstanding adaptability as you can trim it and manipulate the plastic as you want

  • No absorption of moisture

  • You save your valuable time as you do not have to use the micrometre

  • Chemical resistance

  • Can withstand a high range of temperatures

  • Low-cost Plastic Shim with approval of industry standards for thickness with a marginal tolerance of +/- 5%

    • Applications
