It allows for smooth communication of signals between connected machinery. The unit comes housed in a TPU shell that's self-extinguishing for safe use in demanding environments. When locked and with the dust covers in place, it achieves an IP67 rating. This means it's protected against dust and can withstand immersion in water to a depth of up to one metre.
