RS PRO 14-Way IDC Connector Plug for Cable Mount, 2-Row
An IDC connector is also known as an insulation-displacement contact connector. It's a straightforward way of making I/O (input/output) interconnections and is used in a variety of industries for computing, communications and networking purposes. This RS PRO cable mount plug has 14 pins arranged in two rows. Couple it with a compatible socket-style female connector.
A tough D-shaped metal cover provides a supportive shield for the connector as well as making sure the plug stays properly positioned when paired. The metal housing features PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) for insulation. Solder bucket terminations are tin-plated to help prevent corrosion and there's a rubber cable gland to guard the unit against dirt and dust.
This connector plug meets international standards that guarantee the quality of the product. It has been stringently tested to ensure it operates safely and effectively as a Thyristor AC power controller (IEEE 428) and 8-bit parallel multi-master interface bus (IEEE 488).
