SICK TR4 Series Safety Switch, 24V Supply Voltage, IP69K - TR4-SFU01CB

This safety switch is a non-contact RFID interlock designed for safeguarding access points in automated industrial environments. It provides two safe semiconductor outputs and supports safe series wiring with diagnostic-capable Flexi Loop or a T-connector arrangement without diagnostics. The device operates from a 24V supply and includes an actuator, offering coded recognition and status LEDs for straightforward integration into safety systems.

Features and Benefits:

• SIL3 safety integrity with PL e performance level
• Assured switching distances Sao15mm and Sar25mm
• Self-monitoring OSSD outputs with ≤200mA output current
• IP69K and IP67 enclosure for harsh cleaning processes
• Operating range -25°C to +70°C for high-temperature environments

Applications

• Suitable for machine-guard interlocks on production lines
• Ideal for food-industry washdown environments requiring IP69K
• Used with safety controllers in series via Flexi Loop diagnostics
• Can be used for multi-directional guard monitoring with five headings
• Used for systems requiring coded actuator recognition and 2 outputs

What connection options are available for cabling?

It uses an M12, 8-pin connector with a 0.2m cable and supports long runs up to 200m.

How does the device behave under fault conditions?

On fault at least one safety-related semiconductor output is forced to the OFF state.

What mechanical resilience does the unit provide?

The housing withstands vibration 10Hz to 55Hz, 3.5mm and shock up to 30g, 11ms.

What coding and retaining features prevent unauthorised bypassing?

The actuator is uniquely coded and retaining force is limited to ≤10N.
