Schneider Electric Advantys

The Advantys range of distributed I/O and interface products from Schneider Electric eliminate traditional wiring methods and reduce associated time and costs by placing I/O connection interfaces in close proximity to sensors and actuators within an application. The Advantys OTB distributed I/O solution consists of a compact system (network interface and integrated I/O) with the addition of Twido I/O expansion modules.,To simplify sensor and actuator connections as well as linking commons, the Advantys OTB offer includes a commoning module (stock no. 612-0223). This module allows the through connection of the internal bus or network and enables connection of the commons in two isolated groups.,Configuration of I/O is made using respective controller software but to aid with this a separate configuration tool is available for the Twido controller.,Each base incorporates 20 I/O:

A network interface module (including CANopen) with 12 inputs x 24V, 6 relay outputs and 2 solid state outputs x 24V-0.3 A
As an extension, up to 7 discrete or analogue I/O expansion modules can be added.
