The 12V protected switch board comes with BTS50010-1TAE, an ultra-low ohmic smart high-side power switch from the Power PROFET™ family used as Solid State Relay (SSR) to drive the starter motor of a scooter or a motorcycle with an engine smaller than 150 cc and cabling length of up to 3 meter. Its typical RDS (on) is 1.0 mΩ and it can drive a nominal DC current of up to 40 A, with an outstanding inrush capability up to 250 A. The demo board is designed in a very compact form (44.5 mm x 26.5 mm) to provide a space-optimized solution. On this demo board version, D2 and R1 are assembled for protection at worst case condition when the Power PROFET™ switches OFF while the starter motor is in stall condition for currents up to 250 A. We offer an additional board version where D2 and R2 are not assembled.
