Festo Steel Blanking Plug, G 1/4 - B Series - B-1/4

Keep your compressed-air system free of contaminants with this Festo blanking plug. It fits a solenoid valve port and securely closes the connection point when it's not in use. The steel unit is galvanised for improved resistance to corrosion, which makes it suitable for moist environments. It includes a sealing ring to ensure an extremely tight and durable seal. A threaded connector allows for quick and simple insertion and removal so you can open and close the port as needed.

• Safely closes off dangerous sharp edges

• Made from robust steel for increased durability and extended service life

• Nitrile rubber (NBR) sealing ring is resistant to abrasion and tearing

Application Information

• Food and beverage production

• Material handling

• Robotics and automated systems

Why do I need to use a blanking plug?

Besides keeping contaminates out of your compressed air supply, a blanking plug is also useful to prevent air loss from a pneumatic system as it safely and firmly seals an open outlet port.

What is galvanised steel?

Galvanised steel is clean steel that has been coated in molten zinc. This surface coating ensures the metal won't shrink or crack as the zinc is metallurgically bonded to the steel it protects.
