Siemens 3UF7300 Series Digital I/O Module, I/O Communication Protocol, For Use With SIMOCODE - 3UF7300-1AU00-0AX0

This digital I/O module provides four configurable digital inputs and two relay outputs for integration with motor-control logic blocks in SIMOCODE Basic units. It accepts a control supply of 110–240V AC/DC and is suitable for use in industrial automation panels where additional discrete signalling and switching are required.

Features & Benefits

• Four digital inputs enable extensive discrete signal acquisition
• Two monostable relay outputs provide isolated switching capability
• Relay NO contact current up to 6A at 50°C for control loads
• DC switching capacity of up to 2A at 24V for low-voltage circuits
• Surge resistance rated at 4000V to withstand transients
• IP20 enclosure and finger-safe touch protection for panel mounting

Applications

• Suitable for expanding discrete I/O on SIMOCODE Basic units
• Used for signalling motor states in industrial control cabinets
• Ideal for switching contactors and indicators in automation systems
• Can be used for interfacing remote sensors with central control
• Used with motor-protection logic where galvanic separation is required

What types of outputs are available and how are they configured?

The module provides two floating normally open relay contacts

their assignments can be mapped to control functions such as contactors or status signals and NC behaviour can be set via internal signal conditioning.

How should short-circuit protection be implemented per output?

Each output requires protection using gG fuse links (6A), fast‑acting fuses (10A), or miniature circuit‑breakers with specified characteristics such as C‑curve 1.6A for low prospective fault currents.

What environmental limits apply during operation?

Operational ambient temperature is between −25°C to +50°C with up to 95% relative humidity and compliance with IEC 60721 environmental categories for industrial conditions excluding condensation and salt mist.

How are electrical connections MADE and what conductor sizes are supported?

Removable terminals accept solid conductors up to 4 mm² or two conductors up to 2.5 mm², with recommended tightening torque of 0.8–1.2 N·m for secure terminations.

What electromagnetic immunity and emissions performance can be expected?

The unit meets IEC 60947‑1 immunity levels including 1kV burst and 2kV conductor‑earth surge, with CISPR 11 Class A emissions and field immunity to 10 V/m.
