The Vishay optocoupler has a GaAlAs infrared emitting diode, which is optically coupled to a silicon planar phototransistor detector and is incorporated in a 4-pin mini-flat package. The coupling device is designed for signal transmission between two electrically separated circuits, specifically for use in automotive, as well as high reliable industrial applications.
