O-Ring Gauge
The BS or AS size number of small O-rings can be found by matching them with the silhouettes along the sides of the gauge. Larger O-rings are placed around the two halves of the appropriate spindles at the top of the gauge. The slide is then extended until it is taut, and the BS or AS size number is shown in one of the small windows near the top of the main body.

How to use an O-Ring Gauge
This handy device helps a person to identify and measure the size of a smaller O-Ring through matching them to the silhouettes along the side of the gauge. To find out the size of a larger O-Ring, place the O-Ring around the two halves of the suitable spindles at the top of the O-Ring Gauge. The slide is extendable, slide this until taut - the useful gadget will then reveal the British Standard (BS) O-Ring size in one of the small windows near the top of the gauge.
