Harting Ethernet Switch, 8 Ports - 24030080010

This Ethernet switch is an unmanaged, plug‑and‑play DIN‑rail device engineered for extending Fast Ethernet networks in industrial control environments. It provides multiple RJ45 ports for 10/100Mbit/s connections and supports energy‑efficient operation, automatic link negotiation and wiring detection to simplify installation in automation, machinery and energy infrastructure.

Features & Benefits

• Eight RJ45 ports provide expanded connectivity for field devices
• Non‑blocking switching ensures full throughput for all ports
• Energy‑Efficient Ethernet reduces power draw during low traffic
• Wide input voltage 9VDC–60VDC tolerates varied supplies
• Industrial temperature range enables −40°C to +70°C operation
• Surge and reverse‑polarity protection guard against supply faults

Applications

• Suitable for industrial automation control cabinets on DIN‑rail
• Ideal for networking sensors and actuators in robotics systems
• Used for building resilient local networks in wind and solar sites
• Can be used for Ethernet connectivity in shipboard installations
• Suitable for transport and machine‑building network expansion

What cabling distances can I expect on twisted‑pair links?

Twisted‑pair connections support up to 100m using Cat5/Cat5e cable at 10/100Mbit/s.

How does the device behave after connection to power?

The power LED indicates applied supply and link/activity LEDs show Active links and traffic, with a separate indicator for link speed.

What electrical connection method is provided for power?

Power is connected via a 3‑pole pluggable screw‑terminal Block supporting conductor sizes 0.08 mm²–2.5 mm² and providing overcurrent protection at the input.

Which environmental limits apply for storage and operation?

It stores at −40°C to +85°C and operates in 0%–95% relative humidity non‑condensing with Air pressure up to 2000 m.
