Why would I use an integrated bypass contactor with a soft starter?
A bypass contactor opens once the motor has reached full speed. This reduces power loss through heat, which means the enclosure can be made smaller and additional devices aren't needed.
Where can I use a soft starter with an integrated bypass contactor?
Integral bypass soft starters are suitable for use with applications where the speed remains constant once it's up and running at full speed, such as pumps, fans and conveyors.
