RS PRO 5.5 kW DOL Starter, 230 V ac, 3 Phase, IP65
The direct-on-line (DOL) motor starter is a 5.5 kW automatic 3-phase starter that can reduce current requirements for use with induction motors. They are especially helpful for starting induction motors rated below 5 hp.
This model doesn't include an overload, so you would need to select one from the RF38 series – for example, stock no. 685-1309 – to match the full-load current of your motor. This DOL starter from our trusted RS PRO brand has a moulded plastic case that provides IP65 ingress protection. This means you won't have to worry about damage from dust and high-pressure water jets from any direction.
You'll find this DOL motor starter in several motor-focused applications including in workshop machinery, large fans and water pumps. What's more, it conforms to standards IEC 60947 and IEC 60947-4-1 as certified safe low-voltage equipment that's also protected from short-circuits.
