Eaton XDP DOL Starter, DOL, 400V, 4 kW, 3 Phase, IP55

This starter from Eaton offers a simple, reliable solution for starting one-speed, single-direction motors. As it's a DOL (direct on line) type, it applies the full 400 V control voltage directly to the motor. The sturdy steel enclosure is resistant to corrosion and has an ingress protection rating of IP55, meaning it's resistant to dust and water. A built-in disconnect switch automatically cuts power in the event of an overload, protecting you and your equipment from hazardous surges. This type of starter is commonly used with small industrial motors on conveyor belts.

The starter is simple to use thanks to its automatic function and its clearly labelled start and stop buttons.

All starters in Eaton's XDP series are designed for surface mounting.

IP55 sheet steel enclosed starter complete with isolator for DOL applications to comply with IEE Regulations, 16th Edition on Isolation and Switching. AC-3 rated triple pole contactor with IP20 terminals and triple pole AC-3 rated switch disconnector with IP20 terminals fitted as standard. The disconnector has provision for up to 3 padlocks. The mushroom headed 'Stop' pushbutton is IP65 with the 'Start' pushbutton having an IP65 flush operator, both have IP20 terminals. Manufactured using readily available Eaton components which comply with the following specifications: isolator: IEC 943-3, pushbuttons: IEC 947-5-1, contactor: IEC 947-4-1. The enclosure is pre-wired to accept the Eaton Z00 or ZB thermal overloads which offer single phasing sensitivity to IEC 947-4. DOL starters comprise of an enclosure, switch disconnector, stop and start pushbuttons and a contactor.

Overload relay is not supplied and must be ordered separately
