This intelligent soft starter from Siemens is an ideal solution for overcoming voltage dips in a 3-phase power-supply system. The unit's 2-phase control keeps current to a minimum in all 3 phases throughout the entire startup time. It also eliminates disturbing direct current components to avoid current and torque peaks from causing damage. The starter motor features overload and intrinsic device protection without the need for extra wiring. Adjustable trip classes and integrated diagnostic functions make for a user-friendly experience. You'll find soft starters like this used to prevent supply voltage fluctuations at start-up in pumping, conveying and compression applications.
