The Microchip Dual PWM fan speed controller designed for use with brushless DC motors in temperature-sensitive systems. It enables temperature-proportional fan control using either an external thermistor or SMBus programming, helping reduce acoustic noise and extend fan life. The device monitors fan RPM via pulse inputs and asserts a fault signal if the fan stalls or disconnects. It supports any fan voltage and includes a low-power shutdown mode for energy-efficient designs.
