This SICK Absolute encoder features an IO-Link interface. Providing both Speed and Position in the IO-Link process data this encoder is ideal for users who embrace IO-Link technology at the Sensor/Actuator level. The IO-Link communication protocol also enables this compact 36mm encoder to be used in higher level fieldbus systems when used in conjunction with an IO-Link Master supporting e.g. Profinet, Ethernet IP etc. This is a single turn absolute encoder with programmable resolution 1-4096 steps/turn. Preset, counting direction and Speed output settings can also be adjusted. Programming / adjustment is performed via the PLC and a function block or using the SICK SiLink Master 111-3703 + cable 200-9776. This specific encoder model has a 6mm solid shaft and the M12 connector is rotatable for optimal cable routing.
