AVX 0201 COG (NPO) Dielectric Capacitors


AVX 0201 COG (NPO) ceramic multilayer capacitors offer one of the most stable capacitor dielectrics, including lifetime capacitance change of less than ±0.1%, which is one-fifth of that shown by other dielectrics available. Capacitance drift or hysteresis for C0G (NP0) ceramics is negligible at less than ±0.05% versus up to ±2% for films.C0G (NPO) formulations show no ageing characteristics. Operating temperature range -55 ºC to +125 ºC.

Applications include mobile phones, video and tuner designs

C0G/NP0 is the most popular formulation of the "temperature compensating", EIA Class I ceramic materials

X7R, X5R formulations are called "temperature stable" ceramics and fall into the EIA Class II materials

Y5V, Z5U formulations are for general purpose use in a limited temperature range, EIA Class II materials; these characteristics are ideal for decoupling applications.
