The STMicroelectronics MPU expansion board features the STSPIN948 motor driver IC for brushed DC motors. With two STSPIN948 devices, it can drive four DC motors simultaneously with up to a 48V power supply. The board has a power rating of 480W at 48V DC, with each motor consuming a maximum of 2.5A. The interfaces with the STM32MP microprocessor via a 40-pin GPIO connector, utilizing I2C, UART, PWM, and GPIO connections. The STSPIN948 is a 4.5A dual full-bridge driver designed for high dynamic performance, enabling high-frequency PWM control with precise duty cycles.
