ABB S200M Series Miniature Circuit Breaker, 40A Current, 125V Rated DC Voltage - 2CDS274001R0401

This miniature circuit breaker provides overcurrent protection for low-voltage electrical installations and is intended for DIN-rail mounting in distribution panels. It combines thermal and electromagnetic tripping to respond to both overload and short-circuit conditions, and offers a four-pole configuration for multi-phase or combined phase-and-neutral protection. The device is designed for use where Compact protection with manual reset is required.

Features and Benefits:

• 25kA breaking capacity gives dependable short-circuit interruption
• Type D tripping protects against high inrush currents
• 40A current rating supports moderate load circuits
• Thermal-magnetic electromechanical operation covers overload and fault events
• Toggle reset actuator enables straightforward manual reclosing

Applications

• Suitable for protection of three-phase motor circuits
• Ideal for industrial distribution boards on DIN rail
• Used with battery-fed systems requiring DC protection
• Can be used for machinery panels with high inrush loads
• Used for mixed AC/DC installations needing four-pole isolation

What Terminal connection does it use?

It employs screw terminals for secure conductor connections.

How is it mounted within an enclosure?

It clips onto a standard DIN rail for Rapid installation.

What environmental protection does the enclosure provide?

It carries IP20 and IP40 ratings indicating Basic finger protection Plus limited accessory protection.

Which voltage systems can it be applied to?

It is rated for 400V AC distribution and up to 125V DC circuits.

How many poles are available and what does that enable?

The device is four-pole, allowing simultaneous disconnection of three phases and neutral.
