This limit switch provides a compact, actuator-based solution for detecting mechanical position changes in industrial control systems. Designed for use where a discrete switching action is required, it incorporates a roller plunger actuator and a snap-action contact mechanism to deliver fast, repeatable switching for control and safety interlocks. The unit is intended for vertical mounting and connects via an attached cable termination.

The enclosure meets IP68, IP67 and IP66 degrees of ingress protection, permitting operation in wet or dust-prone locations and enabling temporary submersion where appropriate.

The outer casing is manufactured from die-cast zinc to withstand mechanical stresses and provide robust protection for internal parts.

The device uses a cable-style Terminal for direct wiring into control systems without additional connector interfaces.

It is compliant with EN and IEC standards and holds UL, CSA and cURus approvals in addition to RoHS conformance.

Products in the 914CE series will only meet IP and NEMA standards when used in non-hazardous locations. They only satisfy the requirements when installed properly (as per instruction) and completely.

914CE limit switches are not emergency stop devices or safety devices. They must not be used in devices, applications and environments where injury can be incurred as a result of product failure.

IP Rating:
All models within the 914CE series meet IP65, IP66, IP67, IP68. This ensures that they are completely dust tight, offer protection against jets of water and can be immersed in water up to 3 m.

NEMA Rating:
Every 914CE limit switch also meets NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 6, 6P and 13 requirements.

Type 1: Allows for indoor use and offers a dregree of protection against access to harzardous parts by personnel. Enclosures that meet NEMA 1 also protect the enclosure against foreign solid obkects(such as indoor dirt).
Type 2: Allows for indoor use and provides a degree of protection against access to hazardous parts. The enclosures provide a degree of protection against foreign objects (such as falling dirt) and the ingress of water (light dripping or splashing).
Type 3: Allows for indoor or outdoor use and provides a degree of protection against access to hazardous parts. The enclosures provide some protection from foreign objects (such as windblown dust) and the ingress of water (such as rain or snow). Enclosures that meet NEMA 3 offer protection against ice forming externally.
Type 3R: Allows for indoor or outdoor use and provides a degree of protection against access to hazardous parts. The enclosures primarily provide ingress protection against water (such as rain, snow or sleet). Enclosures that meet NEMA 3 offer protection against ice forming externally.
Type 4: Allows for indoor or outdoor use and provides a degree of protection against access to hazardous parts. The enclosures provide some protection from foreign objects (such as falling dirt and windblown dust) and the ingress of water (such as rain, snow or sleet alongside splashing water and hose directed water). Enclosures that meet NEMA 3 offer protection against ice forming externally.
Type 6: Allows for indoor or outdoor use and provides a degree of protection against access to hazardous parts. The enclosures provide some protection from foreign objects (such as falling dirt and windblown dust) and the ingress of water (such as rain, snow or sleet alongside splashing water and hose directed water). Enclosures that meet NEMA 4 offer protection against ice forming externally.
Type 6P: Allows for indoor or outdoor use and provides a degree of protection against access to hazardous parts. The enclosures provide some protection from solid objects (such as falling dirt and windblown dust) and the ingress of water (such as hose directed water). Enclosures that meet the NEMA 6P requirement also offer protection against water when being submerged at a limited depth.
Type 13: Enclosures that meet Type 13 are suited to harsh environments. Enclosures can be used indoors and provide protection against access to hazardous parts. They offer protection against solid objects such as falling dirt, windblown dirt, fibres and lint. They provide a level of protection from dripping and splashing water and other liquids such as the splashing, seepage and spraying of oil and non-corrosive coolants.
