RS PRO Heating Element
This heating element from RS PRO is ideal in situations where you need to generate heat in a very compact space. The heater mat is a fraction of a millimetre thick and has very little thermal mass, allowing it to respond very quickly to the application or removal of power. As the Kapton© polyimide material provides excellent electrical insulation, you can safely attach it to a metal system and transfer heat directly into it.
This heating element is ideal for military, medical, lab or photographic applications thanks to its low out-gassing properties and ease of cleaning and sterilisation. The element supports a broad operating temperature range of -60°C to +200°C, making it suitable for a range of demanding applications. It's ideally used with a thermocouple or limit switch to sense and control the temperature.
