The MSA Safety ALTAIR io 4 Gas Detection Wearable is designed for applications such as turnarounds, plant maintenance, emergency response, and confined spaces. It is Ideal for industries including utilities, construction, oil & gas, mining, fire service, and general industry. The device offers a minimum 90-day cloud-synced data logging feature, with data stored in the customer's Grid account. Weighing 9 oz. (261 g), it has dimensions of 4.6 x 3.1 x 1.5 in. (11.7 x 7.8 x 3.9 cm). The ALTAIR io 4 is built for durability, exceeding 26 drops from 4 feet (1.2 m) and capable of surviving a 25-foot (7.5 m) drop onto concrete. It is also tested to withstand 60 minutes in the NFPA 1982-2018 tumble tester and is dust and waterproof with an IP68 rating 2 m for 1 hour.
